Abstract:
The cathode LSM powders of solid state fuel cells (SOFC) were manufactured from solid state reaction materials such as La
2O
3, MnO
2, and SrCO
3. The modern instrument, such as XRD, TGA/DTA etc, were used to research the processing steps of LSM fine powders. During the processing, there was La
2SrO
xexisted, no LaMnO
3. The reaction steps were described as follows. First, La
2O
3+SrCO
3→La
2SrO
x+CO
2, andthen La
2SrO
x+MnO
2→La
1-xSr
xMnO
3, finally got La
1-xSr
xMnO
3. This result is different from the recognizedsteps during the LSM processing, in which La
2O
3+MnO
2→LaMnO
3 first, and then LaMnO
3+SrCO
3-La
1-xSr
xMnO
3.
