Abstract: The tension control of some double stand reversing cold rolling mill was accomplished. The theory and implemental methods were discussed. The dynamics matrix control was applied in order to resolve the fluctuation of the tension control system. Simulation results indicated that the dynamics matrix control maintained the tension control precision.
