Abstract:
TiO
2 thin film and Fe
2O
3/TiO
2 and Cr
2O
3/TiO
2 thin films were prepared by the photodepositing method on soda lime glass substrates. The results of SEM showed that the surface of Fe
2O
3/TiO
2 thin film was occupied by grain-like oxides while the surface of Cr
2O
3/TiO
2 thin film by net-like particles. The hydrophilicities of TiO
2 thin films increased with the doping of Fe
3+/Cr
3+. The photoeatalytie activities of TiO
2 films in photodegradation of methylene orange solution increased with the doping of Fe
3+ but varied little with the doping of Cr
3+.
