Abstract:
Particle wake has obviously effects on particle-particle interactions and two-phase flow characteristics in dense gas-particle two-phase flow. The large eddy simulation method was used to study the flow field across a
ϕ100
μm particle. The local streamline, velocity and pressure distribution at different Reynolds numbers
Rep were calculated. The results reveal that at
Rep = 100 the length of particle wake region is about 5 times the particle diameter and the corresponding maximum pressure difference is 373.48 Pa.
