Abstract:
The inhibition effects of di-(2-ethylhexyl)-sebacate on the corrosion behavior of reinforcing steel bar were investigated by electrochemical polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in simulated pore solution. The anodic reaction of steel electrode was suppressed. The content of Cl
- is one of the most factors which effect the corrosion of rebars and the performance of the di-(2-ethylhexyl)-sebacate as corrosion inhibitor. It can suppress the electrochemical reaction by forming a deposition film in the steel/concrete interface.
