Abstract:
The performance of a pressure swing adsorption (PSA) oxygen system with new tandem-type adsorbers was experimentally investigated. The effects of operating parameters, such as production duration, pressure equalization mode, product flow rate and adsorbents' properties, on the product purity and recovery of the new PSA oxygen system were analyzed. The experimental result indicates that there is the best production duration in the feed step. The product recovery is better when the product flow rate increases, whereas the product purity reduces. The pressure equalization step in the adsorber's two-inlet can improve the product purity and recovery extensively. The product recovery achieves 32% when the product purity is greater than 92% in the experiment.
