Study on the Composite Stainless Steel Strip of Inversion Casting

  • The metallographic structure, the elements segregation and the grain size number of the composite stainless steel strip were discussed.Based on the results the conclusions were follow:the metallographic structure of composite stainless steel strip is ferrite and carbide,the structure of mother strip is ferrite and martensite,and the structure of the transition region is ferrite and pearlite.The width of the transition region is about 50 μn; the factor grain size of stainless layer is between 5.8 and 6.3.
