Self-propagating Low-temperature Synthesis of BaTiO3 Powder

Abstract
Self-Propagating Low-temperture Synthesis(SLS) of BaTiO3-TiO2-C6H7O8·H2O system was investigated at an initial temperature of 600 and ultrafine tetragonal BaTiO3 powder with particle size of 1.2-1.4 μm was Prepared. It is found that the homogeneity of combustion plays a remarkable effect on phase formation and microstructure of the combustion product. The reaction mechanism of SLS BaTiO3 powder is proposed on basis of thermodynamic analysis.
