Preparation of highly effective desulfurizer using various dusts as additives

Abstract
Ca(OH)2 and seven kinds of dust from the iron and steel enterprise were used to produce desulfurizers through different methods.These desulfurizers were tested in a fluidized bed reactor in the laboratory.Duration of over 95% desulfurization efficiency and the calcium utilization ratio were measured for different desulfurizers.The experimental results showed that the desulfurizer in which the Ca(OH)2 and dust A(as additive) were mixed and then baked at a high temperature,could effectively improve desulfurization efficiency.The calcium utilization ratio could be increased from 18.2% to 70.2% and duration of over 95% desulfurization efficiency could be kept from 11 to 31 min.It proved that the desulfurizer produced by the above-mentioned method could efficiently improve the calcium utilization ratio.This demonstrates that the practical utilization of this desulfurizer for sintering gas desulfurization has great potential.
