Status of flotation technology of typical sulfide ores in high-altitude areas of China

Abstract
With the over-exploitation of mineral resources, the characteristics of "poor, fine and miscellaneous" of sulfide ores in China are more prominent, and the shortage of non-ferrous metal resources is becoming more and more severe, and the high-altitude area is an important strategic resource reserve in China, and it is imperative to develop and utilize the sulfide ore resources in high-altitude areas efficiently. The special climate and environment of high-altitude areas will have different degrees of impact on flotation operations, and put forward higher requirements for the comprehensive utilization of sulfide ore resources. Summarizes the current status of non-ferrous sulfide ore resources in high-altitude areas of China and the influence of low temperature and low air pressure on flotation of sulfide ores in high-altitude areas:Low temperatures will affect the dissolution, diffusion, foaming and interaction with the mineral surface of the agent in the slurry. In addition, low temperatures can also slow down the rate of degradation of chemicals. Low pressure environment is not conducive to the stable existence of flotation bubbles. The decrease of dissolved oxygen in the slurry at high altitude will affect the flotation separation results of sulfide ore by affecting the slurry potential. Harsh environmental conditions will also affect the power of the equipment and the work efficiency of personnel, reduce the working life of the equipment, and endanger human health and safety. Combined with the systematic analysis of existing flotation research of sulfide ores in high-altitude areas, Some current technologies and methods applicable to flotation of sulfide ores in high-altitude areas were discussed from the aspects of chemicals equipment and process . For example, by adjusting the composition and molecular structure of the flotation reagent, the low temperature adaptability and environmental protection of the reagent can be improved. Adjusting the flotation dosing equipment and slurry heat exchange system can better realize automatic control, reduce the cost of flotation operation in high-altitude areas, and improve work efficiency. The original flotation process was adjusted, and the flotation efficiency is improved by moving the dosing site forward and the column machine combine flotation with new processes.Prospects for the future development direction of flotation of sulfide ores in high-altitude areas. From the aspects of reagent structure transformation and the combination of multiple reagents, the adaptability and degradability of flotation reagents in different environments are improved. It is also necessary to actively develop new equipment and technology, further reduce environmental pollution, and improve the resource utilization efficiency of sulfide ores.In order to achieve the efficient and comprehensive utilization of non-ferrous sulfide ore resources while protecting the ecological environment in high-altitude areas.
